Chroma Mobile Game

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026 • Meowgnificent Studio

Meowgnificent Studio ("we", "our", or "us") built Chroma as an ad-supported mobile colour-mixing and multiplayer game. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you download, install, and play Chroma on Android or iOS.

1. Information We Collect & How We Use It

Chroma is designed with privacy-first principles. We do not ask you to register with your real name, email address, phone number, or social media accounts.

A. Anonymous Multiplayer Identifier (Firebase Authentication)

When you launch Chroma, Firebase assigns a random, anonymous identifier (UID). This ID is used strictly to manage online multiplayer duel sessions, matchmaking, and synchronized room lobbies without collecting personal credentials.

B. Ephemeral Multiplayer Game Data (Cloud Firestore)

When playing multiplayer, temporary room documents are stored in Google Cloud Firestore containing: 4-letter room codes, player ready status, chosen colour mixes, and match accuracy scores. This data is ephemeral and used only for active gameplay.

C. Local Device Storage

Your solo journey level progression, unlocked chapter levels, and discovered colour swatches are stored locally on your device storage (via SharedPreferences) and are never sent to external tracking servers.

D. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Chroma displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID on Android or IDFA on iOS) and interaction data to serve ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance in compliance with Google's Privacy Policy.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

Chroma relies on the following third-party services provided by Google LLC:

3. Data Sharing & Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Information is shared only with Google Firebase and Google AdMob infrastructure as strictly necessary to operate multiplayer functionality and display advertisements.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K)

Chroma is a family-friendly colour puzzle game. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can promptly delete it.

5. Data Retention & User Rights

Multiplayer room data is temporary and discarded after game sessions. If you wish to delete your local progress, you can clear app storage or uninstall the application. To request deletion of any associated anonymous Firebase records, please contact our support email below.
